The Haryana Chief Electoral Office recently received the Dera chief’s parole plea from the jail department for verification of the Model Code of Conduct. Replying to this, on September 30, Chief Electoral Officer Pankaj Agarwal had said, “The Haryana government may consider his plea subject to the correctness of facts mentioned in the parole plea with respect to the model code of conduct for the elections.”
