Summers are here, and like every year the scorching heat harms the skin. The combination of blazing air, pollution and humidity rub out the beautiful glow of the skin and sometimes causes infection too. No one would want to face these skin damaging problems. So, in order to avoid the annoyance and irritation and to keep the skin glowing and dazzling like ever before, here are some very useful skin protecting tips for every type of skin (i.e.,oily, dry and normal) you should follow this season.

Tips For Oily Skin

Exfoliate

This is very basic and easy skincare method. Exfoliation involves the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin’s outermost surface. ‎Remember to slough off dead skin with a loofah and an exfoliating body wash. Gently rub your exfoliator in circular movements on your entire body except face and neck (you’ll need a facial exfoliator for your face and neck) and rinse clean. No lotion would help you look glowing unless you don’t exfoliate your body at least 3-4 times in a week.

Minimal Make-up

It is highly advised specially for oily skin to use less make up during summers. Try to avoid heavy makeup and show your natural beauty. Apply face powder if you are to use foundation to avoid patchy skin. Use lip balm to protect your lips and eye make-up is something which is to be avoided in this hot season.

Eat Smart

This summer, make your diet plan much smarter in order to protect your skin from the burning heat. Ensure intake of foods rich in antioxidants including green vegetables, blueberries and melons. (But don’t eat melon or water melon just after drinking water and also don’t drink water just after eating melons.) You can also have food rich in protein like soybean etc. to nourish your skin and repair damages.

Tips For Dry Skin

Moisturize

Moisturizing can both cure and prevent dry skin. This may seem like an obvious solution, but it’s the one we tend to forget about in our busy schedules. Spending two minutes massaging a moisturizing cream, or even an oil into your skin can do wonders. It’s best to moisturize your skin twice a day – once in the morning and once at night. If your skin is already on its way to dryness, then opt for moisturizers that are thick and creamy.

Hit the Heat

How to beat the hot sun? Simple – sunscreen! The sun’s rays are as intense in the winter as they are in the summer, so really, just keep that sunscreen handy at all times and reapply it every two hours when you’re out. So you can hit the heat and your dry skin.

Sleep Well

Lack of sleep makes your skin more sensitive and prone to dryness. Growth hormones that reproduce skin cells and stimulate the skin are released during the later stages of sleep, making our skin healthier while we basically do nothing. You need to take 6-8 hours of sleep a day.

Tips For Normal Skin

Exercise

Exercise gets your blood flowing, oxygenating, and moisturizing your skin as you burn those calories. Even a simple run can work wonders for not only your skin, but the health of your skin in general. Make a routine of exercise if you want a glowing skin and healthy body. Yoga with meditation is like the boon for body and face which keeps you healthy and makes you look prettier than ever before.

Things to carry when going out

Water bottle, cotton cloth, shades to protect eyes are some important things which you can’t ignore to carry when you go out and face the fiery sun. When you are out and feel irritation on face, you are advised to wet the cotton cloth and put it on your face. It will surely give relaxation and you will feel fresh. Cover your head, face and hands with the cotton cloth.

Make water your best friend

We need to have at least 8 glasses of water in a day. Remember to have it once in every 30-45 minutes. Water not only helps you feel fresh, but it also prevents dehydration and will help wash out a lot of toxins. Drink more water slowly as it is good for the whole body and obviously gives best result for skin too. But don’t have overdose of water.

Hope these tips will help you fight with the heat and protect your skin and body as well. Thanks for reading!

HAPPY SUMMERS !! 🙂
