Well, I’m back and so happy to be here again with my lovely readers. Hope you all are doing well and making perfectly good use of your time. The only thing we’re having now is an abundance of time. Some are using it to cultivate themselves, while some are just passing it away. But how many of us are actually working for our overall health and peace of mind? This is the era of social media, where each one us is addicted to different platforms either to gain attention or to satiate the craving of others by liking or viewing their unnecessary random posts. It’s just their way or ours to extrude the restlessness.

On this International Yoga Day, I would like to reiterate the point to utilize our time for ourselves by learning and practicing Yoga, incorporating it in our lives to unfold some beautiful chapters, to achieve and cherish the holistic health, fitness and calmness.

Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self to the self – Bhagwad Gita.

Yoga: Physical, Mental & Spiritual Practice

Nowadays we’re more concerned about the outer appearance without caring much for whatever goes on inside of us. We usually forget that until and unless our mind and soul are happy, happiness won’t show up in our outer appearance. To enhance beauty or appearance, one must feel great within. I’m not telling anyone to ignore the outer appearance, as it is the first thing which creates our impression on others but along with that our holistic well being is the inescapable requirement. The coordination of three aspects – physical, mental, spiritual outlook, helps one to concentrate better on their day-to-day works. Undoubtedly, this acts as a great stress buster.

Rather than getting addicted to drugs or alcohol for momentary pleasure or escape, it is far better to adopt yoga as your friend.

Food for Thought

Healthy body and healthy mind eventually result in favorable outcomes. There is an old adage; a healthy mind resides in a healthy body. And yoga is the only modality which works well on both body and mind. Along with this, proper dietary guidelines ensure that the body and mind are flexible & well- prepared for practice. Usually, a vegetarian diet is recommended over non-vegetarian.
