About the Movie – Carry on Jatta 2 Review
A sequel that took six years to make has proved itself worth the wait. Carry On Jatta 2 is basically a Punjabi Romantic Comedy starring Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa in the leading roles. The plot of the film goes forward from where the first installment had ended.
Overall the Film revolves around the confusing and comic events that arise after Jass (the character essayed by Gippy Grewal) lies to Mahie (Sonam Bajwa) about his family, to marry her.
Since it’s the second installment of the 2012 hysterical blockbuster Carry On Jatta, I know everyone’s excited to see what’s new in this one. Though the star cast is almost the same as that in the first installment and Gippy himself said that they haven’t changed the flavor much, the plot is new.
Gippy also told in an Interview, “In the last part, I was the only one who got into trouble, but this time I have dragged everyone into the confusion. What follows is a series of hilarious confusions about real relationship, arising out of this con.”
Apart from this, one is left in awe of the prettiness of Sonam Bajwa who plays the confused wife quite well.
Dialogues and Songs
Dialogues were penned by Naresh Kathuria, while story and screenplay credit goes to Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Shrivastava.
Carry On Jatta 2 has been directed by Smeep Kang just like the prequel. The dialogues form the strength of Carry On Jatta legacy. The likes of ‘Saali gandi Aulaad’ have evolved to higher level with one punchline “keho jeha saalaa, naa chitta na kaala.”
The songs are peppy and you will find yourself humming the tunes as you walk out of the movie hall.

Carry on Jatta 2, just like it’s prequel is a laugh riot. The movie has many moments that make the viewers guffaw. Gippy Grewal, Jaswinder Bhalla, Binnu Dhillon, Gurpreet Jhuggi, Karamjit Anmol and B.N Sharma, helmed by director Smeep Kang, make sure that the viewer gets more than his money’s worth. This one is strongly recommended.
