Sometimes we don’t realize how big the change a small thought can make. It’s all a matter of vision. Blame it on laziness or negligence, but mostly, people believe some l notions to be true, just because they are popular. We come across many choices each day. One such choice of thought came into my mind too when I checked the social media trends these days, which have brought my attention to something which openly defies one of the most popular social issues. I’m talking about a group of people who claim to have received true spiritual contentment by following the pious teachings of their true spiritual master – Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.
One of the top tweets read, “There is always a difference between our point of view, I have shared mine and now it’s your turn #DSSGuruGaddiDiwas.
Flashback to 25th August 2017, the verdict of Baba Ram Rahim Singh’s case led to a tragic massacre in Panchkula. While the case was covered by media brutally for more than months, for the first time ever I got to see the other side, the views of his followers. So I was in great logical trouble by seeing the contradictory top trends. But my curiosity led to a detailed reading about this organization and Baba Ram Rahim.
Keeping an unbiased and open approach I read a lot, and their continuous welfare works for the betterment of society left a positive remark on my mind. There is a huge difference between words and actions, & I wanted to know whether they stick to there words. So I followed their updates regularly, as my keen interest and journalist instincts kicked in and led me to do some research.
As per the information on their official website, the birth of Baba Ram Rahim was, in fact, prophesied many years before he was born on 15th August 1967. He was declared the spiritual head of Dera Sacha Sauda by the second master of DSS, Shah Satnam Ji on 23rd September 1990, and that is what these people call as ‘Guru Gaddi Diwas’, that’s what had been trending on social media for days. This occasion is a matter of celebration for them, even after their master has been sentenced to imprisonment.
Reading deeply about it, you get to see the bigger picture. You question the image you have of them in your mind and compare it with what you see. The things remain the same but the way of observation changes. Things have been actually presented differently. Dera followers have a positivity in their mind, they perform every welfare activity with a hope in the heart that there will be one day when the world will realize the true importance of humanity and we all will unite for the greater good.
I have shared my point of view and I truly salute the Dera disciples, their faith and their passion to celebrate occasions with welfare.
