Protests outraged over Agnipath scheme

Today nation is under terror of protest as the Agreepath Scheme outraged anger among youth aspirants. The cause of this protest is the recruitment process of armed forces.The union cabinet approved the recruitment of Indian youth in armed forces on the basis of a 4-years contract. The age bracket for this recruitment is also changed from 21-23 years in the first year of the job. Moreover, this scheme is the result of an announcement by PM Narendra Modi who assured Indian people to give more job opportunities in the near future. However, the government faced an inverse reaction to this decision as the youth got against this recruitment strategy. The protest situation worsened when the public property became a victim of the rage of people.

Origin of Protest

The aspirants were protesting against this process in Bihar where the plight got out of control of the police and one 24 years old person died on the spot. Adding to this, the 38 districts of Bihar are cut from internet services to stop the spread of false news. Coaches of seven trains were set on fire by angry youth as well as other public property also harmed by them. There is a wave of terror in the state and more than 200 trains are cancelled and life of other people got affected. The saddest element of this protest is a well educated group of people who are the protestors and asking the government for their future lives after a four-years contract.

Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra reacted through a tweet on this protest yesterday. She wrote that within 24 hours the announcement of the government got an adverse reaction from people. It is clear that the government has made this decision in a rush without thinking about the good of the people. She also added that the government should take their decision back to calm down the anger of people. Social media is trending with related posts from yesterday.

Government is failing in handling the situation.

Although government chiefs and other officials are trying their best to pacify the condition, nothing is giving results. After Bihar, this protest is outraged in UP, Madhya Pradesh and other places of the nation. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also declared 10% reservation in CAPFs and in Assam Rifles for aspirants but has no advantage. The age brackets are further relaxed for joiners. The government is doing every possible effort to settle down the plight of the nation. The government says that the youth will have a bright future because they will get priority in further centre cadre recruitments. They emphasized that this is the only way opted by other nations to bring agile youth in the service of the nation. Moreover, the regime is serving as an opportunity to show their valour for the good of the country. Still people are angry and denying to be convinced on the pleas of government.
