Mauritius to reopen for travellers from July 15

Mauritius, a well-known country In East Africa, which is famous for its incredibility, beautiful beaches, Islands and so on. People come from far and wide to see the sight of paradise here. But, unfortunately, due to the Pandemic, Passengers weren’t allowed to enter and transit here. Now, Condition is Under-control.

Now, Mauritius is all set to open for the Travellers from 15th of July, with some restrictions.

Until 30th of September, 2021, International Passengers are not allowed to come without Vaccination. This means from 15 July, Island will be welcoming all the international passengers who have their Covid-19 negative Report. All people who are vaccinated and have their Covid-19 PCR test can visit here and enjoy their holidays. They can shop freely. But Bars and Resorts will open with some of restrictions.

Island will also open for the Mauritian National also. The Unvaccinated people from the Mauritius can also visit the Beaches and enjoy there. But the protocols will be different for local Travellers. The National Travellers will have to book their room for 14 days quarantine with meals and Yes, This hotel or restaurant will be Government approved. The Travellers will be required to stay at room. On day 7th and 14th, They will undergo a PCR test. If their COVID-19 PCR test would be negative, then they can freely explore the Island and enjoy their tour.

As from 1st October onwards, the protocols are same for the visitor’s except one. The International Travellers will have COVID-19 PCR negative report taken before 72 hours to arrival to Mauritian. After you will show that report, you can freely explore the Island. Move into your favourite place and book your desirable Resorts. You can go anywhere in Island and enjoy your free time. The Restrictions and protocols for the International passengers will be the same till the next notice.

Unvaccinated travellers will be subjected to 14 days in-room quarantine for both Phases 1 and 2 until further notice.

The list of approved hotels will be out on 20th of June on the official website www.mauritiusnow.com
