It is a powerful herb and an antiseptic agent which helps in treating various skin disorders like psoriasis, acne, eczema. It also aids in preventing the formation of wrinkles on skin. A person can exfoliate one’s skin by preparing a turmeric scrub (Turmeric, Water and Rose Water).
Application: Apply the paste of turmeric and gram flour evenly on your face. Dry it for about 20 minutes and clean it with lukewarm water.
2. Aloe Vera
It is considered to be the perfect solution for certain skin problems like acne, scars and irritation on skin. The antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties help in overcoming these problems. It also moisturizes the skin and stimulates new skin cell growth.
Application: Take Aloe Vera gel or get it extracted from its leaf, apply it on your face with cotton pad.keep it on your face for about half an hour and clean it with lukewarm water.
Skin needs to be moisturized sufficiently and Honey is a great moisturizer which can make your skin soft and supple. The antibacterial, antimicrobial and hygroscopic properties make your skin healthy, clean and free from any infection.
Application: Take some honey and apply it directly on your hands and face. Dry it completely and wash it off with lukewarm water.
It has numerous properties which aids in improving overall skin complexion. The citric acid and Vitamin C content helps in removing dead cells and reducing dark spots on your face.
Application: Take some sugar and lemon juice, mix well and apply it on your face, scrub it gently and leave for 10 minutes. Clean it off with lukewarm water to have a glowing skin.
5. Baking Soda
It acts as an exfoliating agent to keep the skin away from dirt, impurities and dead skin cells. It also neutralizes the skin’s Ph level.
Application: Mix baking soda and honey together in a bowl. Apply its mixture in circular motions and leave it for 10 minutes. Clean it with lukewarm water and then cold water to close the pores.
It contains nourishing, astringent and hydrating properties that are extremely beneficial for skin. It also assists in removing dead cells, repairing damaged ones and adding a fresh glow to your face.
Application: Cut the cucumber into slices; rub it on your face thoroughly. Leave it overnight and wash it off with lukewarm water.
7. Coconut Oil
In order to eradicate dull and lifeless skin, free radical activity needs to be removed fully and it can be done with the help of antioxidants present in coconut oil. Its antifungal and antibacterial properties help maintain clear skin. It also nourishes the skin deeply.
Application: Heat little quantity of oil, apply it on your face and massage it for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water.
