A couple of days back I heard some of my colleagues talking about going to Sirsa, Haryana on 28th February. I wanted to know what was so special about 28th February, so I asked few of them.
They told me that it’s ‘Maha Rehmokaram Day‘ on 28th Feb, meaning it’s the Guru Gaddi Diwas of Spiritual master, ‘Shah Satnam Singh Ji Maharaj‘. He is the second master of Dera Sacha Sauda after ‘Mastana Ji Maharaj’.
Volunteers celebrate this day every year with great enthusiasm. So do you know how?
Well! Let me tell you what happened this year!
Blood donation camps were organized at block levels in various parts of the country and abroad by the volunteers on 27th February. This was to commemorate the Pulwama martyrs, that was a day before the ‘Maha Rehmokaram Day’. 11452 units of blood donated Nationwide by the volunteers.
On 28th, volunteers in huge numbers gathered at Dera Sacha Sauda, Sirsa where they listened to the recordings of holy sermons of Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan and got drenched in the spirituality.
Blood donation camp and free Medical Camp were organized at Sirsa today. In blood donation camp of 28th, 1839 units of blood donated making the total count to 13291 units of blood. Hats off to the dedication.
There were a multitude of other welfare activities done.
** Ten needy families were given ration over there.
** Ten small children were given toys to play with along with stationary and books.
** Volunteers didn’t stop here, they provided tricycles to the needy people including 2 ladies and 4 gents.
** The most surprising and laudable one was giving an entire house built (ready to move in) to a needy person by the block of Rajasthan. It is noteworthy here that the volunteers built this house all by themselves.
On asking, these volunteers say that they do all this because of the teachings of their spiritual master, Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan.
No wonder, when it comes to Dera Sacha Sauda, which is known for doing 134 welfare activities, impossible becomes possible. It seems that they are born to do welfare. Really, what a great day, not only did I got to know good things happening around me, but also got some inspiration to do some good myself.
