 1. When is World Social Justice Day celebrated?

Every year on February 20, this day is celebrated all over the world. It was announced by the United Nations to celebrate this day in the year 2007.

2. World Social Justice Day: History

In 1995, the World Summit for Social Development was held in Copenhagen, Denmark. In this summit, more than 100 political leaders aimed to improve the standard of living of the people along with poverty. Apart from this, the objective of achieving the goal of working for society was also kept in this event. After which on 26 November 2007, the United Nations General Assembly designated 20 February as World Social Justice Day to fulfill the goals of this summit held in Copenhagen. At the same time, in the year 2009, this day was first celebrated all over the world.

3. What is the theme for World Social Justice Day 2022?

Every year a theme is selected for World Social Justice Day. Through this topic, an attempt is made to make people aware. This year i.e. in 2022, the theme of World Social Justice Day is ‘Achieving Social Justice through Formal Employment’ which means achieving social justice through formal employment.

The theme chosen by the United Nations for World Social Justice Day for the year 2018 is ‘Worker on the Move: The Quest for Social Justice’. Through this topic, the initiative to do social justice to the people who have come from other countries to work in other countries has been taken by the United Nations. According to the International Labor Office, at present, about 250 million people are settled in other countries, out of which about 150 million migrant people are working. The theme of this year’s world social justice has been placed on these 150 million people working in other countries.

4. What is the importance of World Social Justice Day?

The United Nations and the International Labor Office are working together to fulfill the objectives of World Social Justice Day. Many works are being done by the United Nations and International Labor Office to spread the importance of this day among the people. At the same time, World Social Justice Day is celebrated every year in almost every country of the world, and work is done to create awareness among the people for their country.

5. World Day of Social Justice in India:

The Government of India has constituted many such commissions that work for the interests of social justice by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of India.

People are also helped with the help of many schemes by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. At the same time, government organizations like National Human Rights Commission and National Commission for Women and Child Development are working day and night for discrimination, unemployment, and protection of children from our society. On February 20, many programs are also organized by these organizations. Apart from this, many types of competitions are kept among the children in the school regarding this day. 6. What are the steps taken by India for the awareness of Justice?

While making the Constitution of India, great care was taken for social justice in the country. At the same time, there are many such provisions in the constitution of our country, which have been made to ensure social justice. At the same time, the Government of India is doing many things for social justice by working step by step with the United Nations. There are many types of caste people present in the country of India, apart from this, there are many such practices in our country which are a threat to social justice and India has also done many important works to fight these things.

There is a great need by the Government of India to eliminate things like poverty, unemployment, inequality among people from our country. At the same time, many efforts are being made by our government to eliminate these things. But still, these problems have not been fully dealt with in our country. At the same time, for this day, the Government of India is engaged in making people aware of things like the importance of education, not discrimination and it is expected that in the coming years, the Government of India will be successful in these goals.
